How to brew

For a perfect cup, heat water to between 70 and 85 degrees Celsius. Add one sachet of matcha powder to your bowl, then slowly pour in about 60ml of hot water. Whisk vigorously with a matcha whisk (chasu) in a quick circular motion until a light foam forms on the surface. Drink it warm, or pour over ice for a cooling treat. You can add milk or a touch of honey if you like, but it's great on its own.
