Overview

A thin perforated steel disc that sits between the shower screen and the coffee puck. It evens out water flow across the puck, which gives a more uniform extraction and cuts down on channeling. It also catches grounds, so the group head stays cleaner between backflushes. Fits any standard 58mm espresso portafilter.

How to use

Tamp your puck as usual, then place the screen on top before locking the portafilter into the group. Rinse under hot water after each shot. Backflush weekly.
